Successfully Managing for the First Time workshop
Who is it for?
This workshop is designed for new and recently promoted managers who are leading people for the first time. It is ideal for individuals transitioning from an individual contributor role into management and looking to build practical skills to help them perform more effectively in their role.
Where and When?
The course will run in Edinburgh on Thursday 2 July 2026 and in Glasgow on Wednesday 15 July 2026. Places are limited on each course.
How long will it take?
The course runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
What is covered?
Topics covered during the workshop include:
- Identifying what makes a great manager
- Developing effective communication skills including active listening and asking coaching questions
- Delivering feedback in a range of situations
- Conducting difficult conversations
- Maximising personal effectiveness
is there a certificate?
Yes, all learners will receive a certificate of attendance.
How much does it cost?
The course costs £265 + VAT per person. This includes all training materials, a colour delegate workbook, refreshments throughout the day and lunch.
