What is it?
The Highfield Award in Emergency First Aid at Work at SCQF Level 6
Who is it for?
This qualification is ideal for learners who wish to become first-aiders in the workplace. This qualification meets the requirements for training emergency first aiders in those organisations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment.

The course will run in Glasgow on the dates shown above. Places are limited on each course.
How long will it take?
The course runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
What is covered?
the qualification covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the first aider and how to assess an incident. The qualification also covers first aid skills in CPR and the use of an AED, providing first aid to a casualty who is choking and dealing with choking and dealing with burns, minor injuries, external bleeding and hypolvolaemic shock.
How is it assessed?
There are both practical and theoretical elements to the assessment – learners must demonstrate the practical first aid skills and must answer a series of multiple-choice questions.
How much does it cost?
The course costs £95 + VAT per person. This includes tuition, training materials, a full colour first aid manual. candidate registration with our Awarding Body, assessment and certification.
